The great Columbia, SC blizzard of 2009
Yes that’s right. It happened. Schools were closed, grocery stores sold out of bread and our Vizsla got to experience fun in the snow for the first time. The temperature was a chilling 28 degrees and we accumulated a massive 0.01 inches of snow. Check out the pictures for all the action.
My new iPhone homescreen
Here is a shot of my new iPhone homescreen. It’s using the Blackberry theme with 4 blank.app files at the top to give it space.

Our deepest fear…
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our Light, not our Darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you NOT to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightening about shrinking so that other people won’t feel unsure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. As we let our own Light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Higher quality Colorware Custom iPhone 3G shots
Found some better lighting so here are the new shots!
Colorware Custom iPhones arrived today…sorta
Well the much anticipated day has arrived. I have been waiting on these phones to arrive for 3 weeks. I picked the box up from FedEx and start snapping pictures as soon as I got it home. The phones look great. Amazing quality and color………..BUT. On my blue/white phone, Colorware forgot to inclue the SIM card tray. So now I can’t use this wonderful new iPhone 3G until they ship me the SIM card tray. All of those details are still being sorted out. Colorware just contacted me and said that they are shipping me a new SIM tray overnight so that it will be here tomorrow morning!
My wife’s phone on the other hand came perfectly all together. Pictures of both phones can be seen below…
It’s here!
The UPS man finally delivered the goods at 6:32PM on 9/9/08! I tore into the box, threw the directions aside, and started snapping pictures. Below is a few examples of how awesome this camera is!
I promised shots of the goodies, so here they are!
Now the bag that will transport all that beautiful gear………
So far I am in love with the 50mm f/1.8. It gives shots a lot of life.
Next I got a shot with the same lens of Saude, our cat.
Stay tuned for more to come!
Part of my equipment has arrived!
There are no pictures with this story because the big daddy 40D has not arrived yet. UPS has listed that on 9/9 it will arrive. But at least I have some light reading to look at now that my David Busch book has arrived. I’ve already read the entire book in just one afternoon, but I won’t be able to test my knowledge until everything arrives on Tuesday.
For now it’s just fun to drool all over the partial order of equipment. Listed below is what I have recieved so far…..
- Canon EF 50mm II f1.8
- Canon BG-E2N Grip
- SanDisk 4 GB Extreme III CompactFlash Card
- Crumpler 7 Million Dollar Home (this bag looks so sweet!)
- Canon EOS 40D Guide to Digital Photography by David D. Busch (Good read with lots of information)

She and I do not have kids yet, but we do have a dog and a cat. I’m sure in the future you will get to meet all of my little family from the pictures that I take with my new camera.
